Nikon Makes Waves With Six New Cameras

Nikon, the Japanese imaging major, has grabbed attention across the market when it announced six new cameras last month. These are:
The Nikon Coolpix P7100, has 10.1 mega pixel CCD sensor, 7.1x zoom lens, 921k-dot tilting LCD, and manual controls and comes with a price tag of 500 $.
Next is the Nikon AW100, which boasts of a 16 mega pixel CMOS sensor, 5x lens, 1080p video capture, built-in GPS, and water resistance to 33 feet and is a dream come true for adventure photography enthusiasts. Cost – 380 $
The $430 S1200pj comes next with the pj standing for a projector. This model adds iOS compatibility, letting you project 60-inch iPad videos at a whopping 20 lumens. It also has a 14.1 mega pixel sensor, 5x zoom, 720p video, and a 3-inch LCD.
The Nikon S100's sleek design is a very stylish camera with color options in red, black, purple and gold. Style apart, it has a 16 mega pixel sensor, 5x zoom, 1080p video, 3D capture and a price tag of 300 $.
The Nikon S8200 comes next with its 14x Nikkor lens, 16.1 mega pixel CMOS sensor, 1080p video, and 3-inch 921k-dot LCD. Cost – 330 $
The Nikon S6200 has 10x optical zoom, 16 mega pixel sensor, 720p video, and a 2.7-inch LCD. It is sort of a thinner version of the S8200, with a thinner price tag too – 230 $.
All of these cameras are expected to come out sometime in September, and with such additions to its existing range of cameras, expect Nikon to be a market leader in the near future.
